Today, Thursday, a delegation from the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, headed by Gailan Haji Saeed, Chairman of the Chamber, accompanied by Shreen Yahya Khalil and Haji Faisal Gerdi, visited the Istanbul Chamber of Industry where they were welcomed by Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the Vice Chairman of the Chamber, and some members.
In a meeting held at the headquarters of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, the economic relations between the two countries were evaluated, and the role of both chambers in developing and increasing activity in the economic relations between them was discussed.
During this visit, both sides exchanged views on industrial and commercial potential, emphasizing Erbil's strategic location and highlighting the importance of developing joint projects. It was noted that Turkish companies are the largest investor group in the Kurdistan Region. The potential for further development of this capacity was emphasized, particularly in the energy, construction, textile, and food sectors.
During this visit, emphasis was also placed on coordination and further strengthening relations between the two sides with the aim of better serving the commercial and economic sectors of both. In this regard, it is planned that a large delegation of Istanbul industrialists will visit Erbil at the beginning of next year.
