Today, Thursday, September 25, 2025, Gilan Haji Saeed, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Shirin Yahya Khalil and Haji Faisal Kurdi, members of the Chamber's Executive Council, and Shvan Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the Chamber Union, welcomed Ms. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman, Senior Advisor to the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government for Relations Affairs.
After the welcome, the attendees at the Chamber expressed their happiness with this visit. During the meeting, discussions were held on the most important points that lead to the advancement of the private sector in the Kurdistan Region.
With the aim of further advancing the economic and commercial sector in the Kurdistan Region, emphasis was placed on increased coordination between the government and private sectors, particularly in implementing projects and receiving and welcoming commercial delegations.
The Chamber attendees requested Ms. Bayan to help convey messages about developing industrial zones, focusing on small and medium enterprises, and they also hoped for the establishment of a commercial arbitration center, which the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry needs to establish. This center would play an influential role in attracting foreign investors to the region and providing them with support and assistance.
For her part, Ms. Bayan Sami Abdul Rahman showed her support for the demands and expressed her readiness to work on them completely after studying them.
