Erbil Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Indonesian Ambassador

Today, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, Geylan Haji Saeed, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Haji Faisal Gerdi, Executive Council member, welcomed Indonesian Ambassador to Iraq Didik Eko Boedianto and his accompanying delegation.
In a meeting attended by the Chamber's advisor, Secretary-General of the Union of Chambers, and the Chamber's Director General, discussions were held regarding coordination and development of commercial relations between Indonesia and the Kurdistan Region.
The export of Indonesian goods to the Region's markets was discussed, particularly agricultural products and materials, and industrial sectors, especially technology and construction, as well as attracting investors and opening branches of Indonesian companies.
Another aspect of this meeting was coordination and establishing relations between the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Indonesian chambers of commerce, as well as efforts to open an Indonesian consulate in Erbil, which is a key factor in strengthening commercial relations between both parties.
