Today, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, Kamaran Salah Bajgar, Deputy President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, accompanied by Shirin Yahya Khalil and Kamaran Mohammed Saleh, members of the Chamber's Executive Council, and Haiman Farouk Nanakali, General Director of the Chamber, visited the UAE Consulate General in Erbil city, where they were received by Mrs. Sheikha Farhan, the Consul General of that country.
In a meeting, the Chamber delegation congratulated the Consulate General and wished them success in performing their duties.
During the visit, discussions were held on strengthening commercial and economic relations between the UAE and the Kurdistan Region.
The Deputy President of the Chamber expressed hope that the Consul would assist in bringing investors and companies from that country to invest and open branches of their companies in Erbil city.
For her part, the Consul General proposed conducting a workshop at the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry with the attendance of companies from both countries, specifically on the topic of the investment situation in the Kurdistan Region. In this regard, the Deputy President of the Chamber showed the Chamber of Commerce's readiness to organize this workshop.
