Proposal to Hold a Commercial Conference Between German Businessmen and the Kurdistan Region
Today, Sunday, October 26, 2025, Geylan Haji Saeed, President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of Haji Faisal Gerdi, Kamaran Mohammed Salih, and Rashid Mustafa Mirkhan, members of the Chamber's Executive Council, welcomed Musa Ahmed, President of the Immortal Barzani Charitable Foundation, and the accompanying delegation consisting of a number of German figures.
After the welcome, the relationship and coordination between the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Immortal Barzani Charitable Foundation were discussed, with both sides agreeing on strengthening relations and further development.
Musa Ahmed, President of the Immortal Barzani Charitable Foundation, praised the work and activities of the Chamber and commended its efforts to revitalize the economy of the Kurdistan Region.
The President of the Immortal Barzani Charitable Foundation said: In addition to charitable work, this German delegation has been our partner and supporter in many charitable projects and the opening of several centers for people with special needs in all cities, districts, and sub-districts of the Kurdistan Region.
He added: Besides charitable projects, this delegation has also been a supporter and coordinator in the field of revitalizing and developing the economic infrastructure of the Kurdistan Region.
At this meeting, the guest delegation, with the assistance and coordination of the Chamber, proposed holding an economic conference between businessmen from Germany and the Kurdistan Region, particularly in sectors that the Kurdistan Region currently needs for investment.
For his part, Geylan Haji Saeed, President of the Chamber, praised this step and showed his personal support and that of the Chamber for organizing and holding this conference, expressing his readiness and coordination to make the conference productive and successful.
