Today, Sunday, September 14, 2025, in the presence of Dr. Mohammed Shahab, General Supervisor of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Karesh, Deputy Governor of Erbil, representatives of other governorates of Kurdistan Region, Gelan Haji Saeed, President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Newzad Sheikh Kamel, General Director of Commerce at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Kurdistan Regional Government, Shukri Jameel, President of Dohuk Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Tahir Izz al-Din, President of Halabja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Aram Baban, Executive Council member and representative of Sulaymaniyah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a number of Executive Council members of Erbil Chamber of Commerce, chamber consultants, and Shivan Abdul Rahman, Secretary General of the Union of Chambers and representative of parties related to exhibition organization, a meeting was held at the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry aimed at reorganizing exhibitions and festivals in Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, discussions were held on several topics related to organizing international exhibitions and festivals in Kurdistan Region. Additionally, light was shed on the means that contribute to attracting more foreign companies and investors to participate in international exhibitions.
In this meeting, it was also proposed to prepare a special conference to clarify the aspects of supervising international exhibitions and festivals in all governorates of Kurdistan Region.
