Sri Lankan embassy in Baghdad is seeking to open Trade Gate with the Kurdistan Region

Erbil: On on 16/06/2014,Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat, President  of the Erbil  Chamberof Commerce and Industry , has received , Mr. Sumit Nakandla Sri Lankanambassador accredited in Baghdad and his accompanying delegation, who visited the Chamber , in order to talk about the promotion of trade and economic relations with the Kurdistan Region.

It has been  presented  at  one of the halls of The Chamber , the database of Information to   the guest  ,which gave a clear picture  abut he nature of the Sri Lankan economy and the sectors that are characterized by, in order to informthe owners of the commercial interests of Kurdistan Region  ,to benefit from them in the process of trade exchange between the two countries in the future,as Mr. Ambassador talked  about the importance of investing in Sri Lanka and the need for traders and businessmen of Kurdistan to visit his country to learn about the merits of the business based in it, at all levels to enable them toimport Sri lankan products that fall within the tastes of the consumer of Kurdistan, and in the context of the conversation between the sides , Mr.President of the Chamber talked r on the importance of opening a consulate or a trade center by  Sri Lankans in the region to facilitate the outreach  and direct contact with the market of Kurdistan.
