Erbil: On 1 October, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Al-Khayat, President of the Federation of Kurdistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, received  in his office, Mr. Andreas Arendarski, President of the Bologna Chamber of Commerce and his accompanying delegation. The delegation was came to attend the signing ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Kurdistan Region and the Chamber of Commerce of Poland, and on the sidelines of the signing of this memorandum,  speeches delivered by Dr. Khayat and President of the Polish Chamber of Commerce .

The head of the visiting delegation pointed out to the importance of strengthening and expanding trade and economic relations between the two parties and remove them from the current lukewarm.

Dr. Khayat expressed his readiness to provide all means of support for Polish companies wishing to work in the region, has also pointed to the possibility of the Polish state to participate in building Iraqi and Kurdish areas destroyed during the war with Daesh. It should be recalled that the Polish Consulate in Erbil since 2005 has been granting entry permits to Kurdish citizens and traders.
