Today, Monday, May 26, 2025, Kamaran Salah Bajkar, Deputy President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed a delegation from the Kurdish-Greek Center, headed by Nevridis Afsimios, President of the aforementioned center.
In a meeting attended by Haji Ibrahim Gerdi, member of the Chamber's Board of Directors, and Dr. Salahuddin Ahmed, advisor at the Chamber, discussions were held regarding the strengthening of commercial and economic relations between Greece and the Kurdistan Region.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of developing commercial relations, particularly in the agriculture and tourism sectors, as well as the participation of Greek companies and investors in the reconstruction of the Kurdistan Region, and introducing Kurdistan Region merchants to Greek products through their participation in international exhibitions in Erbil.
The meeting also discussed organizing a commercial conference coordinated by both sides, with the participation of companies and investors from Greece and Kurdistan in the near future.
