Erbil :At the request of British Consul in Erbil ,a meeting held in Erbil ,Cwarchra hotel between , the related persons in British embassy in Baghdad and the consulate in Erbil ,and the Kurdistan businessmen over opening a British investment office in Erbil . The British consul in Erbil , the head of Kurdistan union of trade and industry chambers , the heads of Sulaimania and Duhok chambers , Kurdistan businessmen and industrialists and a number of company owners were attended the meeting which was held on 23,Feb,2010. Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat ,the head of Kurdistan Chambers Union , focused on the importance of opening such office , as it has opened in Baghdad , and Mr.Jermi Macadi the British consul in Erbil , expressed the attitude of his country over British companies investment in Kurdistan . Mr. CAliuo Sopa , the head of trade department in British embassy in Baghdad , also talked about the role of their department in encouraging British companies t invest in Kurdistan .expressing for the situation and opportunities . The attendants of the meeting indicated to B.Plan company as a successful example , which has a successful projects in Kurdistan and United Kingdom , and the owner of this British company is a Kurd businessman.
