Erbil: the President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry with has discussed with a French delegation the expansion of frames of trade and economic relations and to take advantage of French expertise in the various sectors in Kurdistan, while the French delegation announced the French government's willingness to support French companies wishing to work in Kurdistan.
This was came during a meeting held in the cultural center of the Chamber in Erbil, where Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat has received ,on 2/12/2012 Mr. Bernard Kazuo President of Administrative Unit at French Dordonk company and head of the French-Iraqi Friendship Association at the French Senate and his accompanying delegation.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Alan Grapi French General Consul in Erbil and Ms.Khaman Zirar representative of the Kurdistan Regional Government in Paris and Soran Abubakar Deputy Chairman of the , and a number of Board Members of the chamber, The President of the Chamber welcomed the guest delegation and highlighted the historical relations and friendship between the two peoples of Kurdistan and French in general, and the close ties between the Chamber and French economic institutions in particular praising the role of the French consulate in Erbil in the expansion of the frames of relations, and Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat declared "The business opportunities are available to French companies as though the availed security situation ,and applicable laws in the Region, which includes great facilities for Foreigner investors ,are encouraging factors for French companies to enter the Kurdistan market, adding that the people of Kurdistan was all due respect and appreciation to the people and Government of France "
Mr. Khayat called companies in Dordonk area to visit Kurdistan and see the situations closely, expressing support for French projects in the Kurdistan Region.
For his part, Bernard Kazuo gave thanks to the warm reception declaring that the French government has decided to provide the necessary support for French companies wishing to operate in the Kurdistan region, adding that the delegation includes a number of experienced and competent in the areas of relics , trade, water ,sewage and poultry farms, pastures and f another fields would look closely on the most important needs of the Kurdistan Region.
For his part Gipra French Consul in Erbil stressed that his country encourages its enterprises to go to the Kurdistan Region and participate in investment projects which, announcing the opening of French businessmen club in Erbil.
In another part of the meeting it was stressed to take advantage of French expertise to the reconstruction of archeological sites also the Chamber suggested to the French side the need to open a French bank and opening direct air routes with the Region.
At the end of the meeting the two sides exchanged discretion gifts.
