Erbil: On 7th February 2021, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Abdulraheem Yousif Hasan, a consultant I; the Jordan Consulate General in Erbil.
In a meeting attended by a number of board members the sides talked about the situation of trade exchange between the Kurdistan Region and Jordan.
Dr. Khayat said: The pandemic and not having budget law enacted for several consequent years, have left their impact on our economy., but the Kurdistan Regional Government prioritised a number of vital sectors like agriculture, industry, tourism. Hope the Jordanian investors and businessmen be helpful.
Regarding the relationship between Kurdistan and Jordan chambers, Dr. Khayat said: Our mutual relations are good, we look forward to strengthening them more.
The guest also explained, they are hopeful to have strong ties on all levels and as the Consulate of Jordan they are now preparing for holding a conference for both the businessmen of both sides.. And, they do facilitate for the citizens and businessmen of Kurdistan.
