The newly appointed Indian Consul in Erbil visited the Chamber
Erbil: On November 12, 2020, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Subhash Kain, the recently appointed Consul Generalmof India in Er il and his accompanied delegation.
In a meeting attended by Sadraddin Kamal the member of board of directors of the Chamber, the sides talked about strengthening of commercial relations and exchange of trade delegations.
Subhash Kain said that: It was difficult for me at the first place to be appointed and work in Iraq, specially, it sparked worthiness among my family members, but when I came and established in this beautiful safe place which is the Kurdistan Region- Erbil, I felt happy and secure. I found myself in a safe place among a friendly people. Now, I, my family and my team are happy.
Kain also said: There are more than 10 thousands Indian Workers, based for work here in Kurdistan Region, in different sectors. I followed up their situation, met with them, I found out they are happy and satisfied here. So, we would like to promote our trade ties with the Region and participate in the reconstruction of the region and establish investment.
Dr. Khayat made points about the friendship, cultural and commercial ties between Kurdistan Region and India. He said that India is an important country for Kurdistan Region, the region can benefit from the capacity and experience of that country and the Indian companies are invited to establish business and invest in the Region.
In the end of the meeting, Dr. Khayat hoped success for Kain in his new capacity, and wished more development and promotion in the commercial ties between the both sides,
