The relevant institutions assured the people about the having stockpiled food and goods

Erbil: On March19, 2020, For conserving over providing the people with staple foods and daily needs of the citizens in Erbil Governorate, the Erbil Governor, the Minister of trade, convened at the headquarters of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry with a large group of traders and owners of market chains. 

In the meeting, Dr. Farsat Sofi the governor of Erbil asked the traders to develop the best and safest methods to fast track the trade exchange. He reiterated on the importance of the ongoing trade movement. He also said that the Merket Chains and Malls are allowed to deliver the goods and food to the households with their own vehicles. 

The governor assured the traders about Government’s support to all the trade activities which are safe. He warned them about monopolizing the market. 

Kamal Muslim, the Minister of Trade, said that the government wanted to make sure about the availability of stockpiled food, fortunately, we learned that there is sufficient sustenance for at least one month, even in case the import process being locked because of the Coronavirus global breakout.
