Erbil: A delegation of Kurdistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry currently in Sri Lanka, seeking the advancing of commercial joint business activities. The both sides signed a Protocol for this purpose. Sirwan Mohamed, the deputy of the Federation said that" In our visit to Sri Lanka we met with the Chambers, Businessmen, companies of this state. We have lot of Sri Lanka goods and devices in our markets in Kurdistan, preferred by the people, and Kurdistan produces different material which Sri Lanka needs them, so, we have signed a joint protocol for joint projects. On 27th January, the Kurdistan Delegation visited the Iraqi embassy in Sri Lanka, received by Qutaiba Sahibi the acting charge d'Affaires at the Embassy, he supported having strong commercial relationship between Kurdistan and Sri Lanka, hoped Sri Lanka offer support and facilitate for the Kurdistan companies, emphasized on the role of the private sector in agriculture sector advancement. Sirwan Mohamed, hoped more progressed commercial relation with Sri Lanka, nowadays the Sri Lanka tea goes to the middle and southern part of Iraq through Kurdistan.
