Erbil: On July 27, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat, the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Marissa Smith, the new official of the trade department of the US Consulate General in Erbil, in a meeting they talked about the commercial ties between Kurdistan and the United States. 

The commercial ties between the both sides have been in rise throughout the last years, and a Memorandum of understanding have been signed, the newly appointed representative of Commercial affairs will cooperate with the Chambers officials and the the KRG to make the terms of this Memorandum properly implemented.

The president of the Chamber, expressed happiness for having American brand's branches in Kurdistan, willingness to build relations with all the Chambers.
