Erbil: On February 13, 2019, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, welcomed Beverly Simpson, the director of the international trade department in the U.K. embassy in Iraq. 

In a meeting attended by Mala Majeed Surchi, the deputy of the president of the Chamber and a number of board of directorate members, they spoke about the development of the commercial ties between Kurdistan and United Kingdom. 

In another part of the meeting, they discussed the loan that U.K. given to Iraq which is including a share for Kurdistan Region also, and will be impacting the development of economic sector in Kurdistan.
