Erbil: In an interview with Agency France Press , Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the economic situation in Kurdistan Region witnessed improvement in the current year. 

The president of the Chamber said that the economic situation have witnessed some improvements in the current year of compared to the past year, there are indications confirmed this especially after rising of oil prices. 

He pointed out, during the past year because of war against ISIS and the oil prices slump and cutting the Kurdistan financial dues by Baghdad there was an economic stagnation.

Also. He indicated that the cleaning of Mosul City from ISIS, will reinvigorate the economic situation in Kurdistan Region, create more jobs and Commercial traffic and that traders and investors in the Region are fully prepared to contribute in the reconstruction process.
