Erbil , On 02.11.2016 ,  Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry received received Mr. Paul Garia the head of The Canada Communication office in Erbil which has newly been opened. 

In a meeting , a number of members of Board of directors present the sides talked about the consolidation relation with Kurdistan Region. 

Mr.Garia said “ we are here to specify those sectors that are in need for development , we can incubate them with the help Of the Canadian companies.”.  And continues to say “  this office will be a steppingstone to remove all the obstacles against a stronger trade relationship.And to strengthen ties between Canadian companies and the Kurdistan businesses ” 

In response, Dr. Khayat said “ the Foreign investment in Kurdistan region reached up to 100 billion $s,  but the  financial crises halted most of these  projects since two years .” 

He said “ the Canadian companies can participate in reviving the economy specially in the fields of agriculture and food industry.” .And he emphasized that  the both sides can put a plan together for a strong and  fruitful coordination.
