Erbil: On 08/12/2015,  Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Erbil  Chamber of Commerce and Industry,  received Mr. Caines Kiro Mintz political and economic department official at the US consulate in the Kurdistan Region.

 In a regular meeting the president of the Chamber  touched  to cooperation and previous attempts with the US consulate for the development of economic relations between the United States and the Kurdistan Region and pointed to the formation of bodies and organizations promise to achieve this goal without being accomplished, despite the fact that the Kurdistan Region enjoys of several economic fundamentals  in all sectors, It is an opportunity for foreign investors to take advantage of them, especially as the Kurdistan Region  phase of reconstruction and in general depends on the imported material and  goods ,due to the weakness of the agricultural sector and local industries.

For his part,  Caines Kiro political and economic department official at the US consulate revealed the  formation of  new  the new stuff of the consulate,and  their plans on the organization of an invitation to a group of Americans economists  in the field of agriculture, health, trade, where which  is scheduled to be done during the next two weeks to help the Kurdistan Regional Government to improve and develop these sectors, and also stressed that in the second phase will be the implementation of a similar program with the private sector, hoping to achieve positive results for the Kurdistan region and contributes to the development of economic relations between the Region and the United States of America.
