Erbil:On 5Feb,2013 Mr.Dara Jalil Khayat the President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received Mr. Codo Lee the official of Middle East and Africa Affaires of the Singapore Union of Businessmen and his accompanying delegation.

The head of the delegation said that they are here to make preparation of the visit of a Singaporean trade delegation to Kurdistan in the First half of this year.

Mr.Khayat welcomed the delegation warmly ,and said " We are delighted to have a strong commercial ties with Singapore ,,these relations have a positive impact for both sides."

Mr.Lee  said that they are set to work to build mutual commercial relation with Kurdistan Region ,and the venire of the first trade delegation to the Region will be the first step."

Mr.Khayat expressed the willingness of the Chamber to offer required assists to them and to any Singaporean trade delegation wishes to come to Kurdistan .

Erbil:On 6Feb,2013 A Kurdistan –German Forum was held in Erbil ,under the slogan of ( To Build  a sustainable economy together)  a large number of Government official , private sector ,more than 150 businessmen from the both sides, Media and organization representatives was attended the Forum.

Mr.Sinan Chalabi the Minister of trade of Kurdistan Regional government , Mr.Kamaran Ahmed the minister of reconstruction, Mr. Dilshad Shahab  the minister of Municipality, Mr.Dara Jalil Khayat the president of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,Ms Dagmar Villi the head of economic development in the German Parliament ,the Germen ambassador to Baghdad ,Germen General counsel in Erbil , a number of the board of directors of Erbil Chamber , 150 businessmen from the both sides attended the Forum..

At the beginning of the Forum Mr.Kamaran Ahmed gave a speech ,said "We  appreciate the coming  of a large and  high level governmental and commercial delegation to Kurdistan ,"

" This step will be in the interest of the both sides , it will bring more investment opportunities to the sides ,we will take advantage of German Technology , to develop our country ,we trust that Germany has a profound experience in terms of reconstruction ,and redevelopment of the Country ."

He added .

Mr Ahmed  added that there are business opportunities here ,and our doors are open to German traders and companies to come and invest in Kurdistan .

" We have a independent Media and an active Parliament." He said.

" The Government now working on drafting a wide strategy ,as a common vision for the future of Kurdistan ."

 Mr.Peter Ramser Haward the Minister of Transportation of the  German Government ,thanked Kurdistan Regional Government for the warm welcome they met , he said ,we are convoying the greets and gratitude  of German Government .

" We should unite our strong points , you as Kurds  have your independent region ,you are struggling for the future of your Region ,and we have our powerful economy we brought 50 of the most big German companies ,this is expressing  the range and the level of our country s  interest in Kurdistan Region ."Mr.Haward added

"This Forum aiming at put corner stone to a mutual economic relation ,to come out from speech to practical steps."

Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat the head of the Chamber welcomed the German delegation , said " The  level and range of this delegation indication to German s interest in Kurdistan Region , so ,we hope to benefit from the business opportunities in Kurdistan , Kurdistan Reconstruction is a wide ,and long term process ,we need to benefit from German Technology ,in the reconstruction and development process, we are as Erbil Chamber ready to offer every assistance ."

" Our  relation as the commerce chambers ,in the past 3 years ,the Ministry of Economy of the German Government has helped us in many areas ,for example ,they organized a number of empowerment courses for our cadres and members . he added.

" We had many mutual visits ,they came we have been there ,we had many meetings." Khayat said.

" W e are proud that Germany was the first country  to deal with Kurdistan ,they are the first they opened the consulate here in Erbil " said.

Then  many of information about Kurdistan Region displayed to attendees via a data show , which was prepared by the Ministry of Planning and the Board of Investment.

 The Attendees made a number  of teams between themselves ,they exchanged data and information each according to their specialty.
