Erbil:On10/23/2012, Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received in his office, a delegation from the World Bank under the chairmanship of Mr. Ziad Badr Bank's representative office in Iraq, and Ms. Sylvia Zulu,and Ms Bokatirva. The two managers of the Bank in the African and European regions. At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. President of the Chamber welcomed the guest delegation, then touched on the importance of implementing important projects by the World Bank has attributed to security enjoyed by the Kurdistan Region along with the development of aspects of life, including tourism ,hotels, restaurants and agriculture. For his part, Mr. Ziad was happy to visit the Chamber, and during the meeting set the goal of the visit, which lies in the establishment of the strategic projects in partnership with local companies, also touched on those important projects that teken place in Iraq and Kurdistan during the past years. He also added: "The World Bank is working under the umbrella of the United Nations and the large volume of money involved in large-scale projects across 100 offices (IFC) throughout the world." For their part, the Ladies Ms Zulu and Ms.Bokatirva spoke in detail about the steps of the bank through various sectors such as agriculture, industry and services ,the training of trainers projects, specialists and experts in the public and private sectors. During the meeting Mr. Khayat highlighted the tireless efforts of the Government of the Region in attention to the agricultural sector, industrial and tourism. At the end of the meeting, Mr. President of the Chamber granted gifts of appreciation to the members of the World Bank delegation and expressed the full readiness of the Chamber to provide the necessary facilities and cooperation with the World Bank in its projects in the Kurdistan Region   

Erbil:On22/10/2012,Mr.Dara Jalil Khayat the president of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry has received a Turkish trade delegation From Antalya, the delegation was including representatives of 15 companies .In a meeting attended by Mr.Soran Abu baker aziz the deputy president of the Chamber ,and a number of administrative members At the outset of the meeting Mr.Khayat said" we receiving the Turkish Commercial delegations continuously, these mutual visits are very important for trade links development ,have positive effect on these relations ,so we hope to be in the benefit of the traders in both sides .." " Kurdistan Region is in the phase of economic development we hope a brilliant future, so we need the contribution and business by the Turkish businesses." Mr.Khayat added Then Mr.Gul Takin the director Dosiat company ,who was heading the delegation thanked the Chamber for the warm welcome ,and said " We would like as many other Turkish companies to find business opportunity in Kurdistan to serve the Region and can benefit ." Then the members of the delegation introduced themselves their posts ,and the area of their work. .   

Erbil:On 17 October,2012 ,in a ceremony been held in the Chamber s Social and Cultural Center ,the second Agenda for Kurdistan Region was offered to the representative of Kurdistan Regional Government .,which was prepared by the Kurdistan Information and Strategic Research Center(KISSC). The ceremony was held in attendance of Dr.Ali Sindi the Minister of Planning of KRG ,Mr.Nawzad Hadi the Governor of Erbil ,Mr.Dara Khayat the Head of Kurdistan Federation of Chambers of Commerce ,representatives of Erbil ,Duhok ,SulaimanyaH Chambers ,Civil Society and Media Institution representatives ,University Profs ,academic personalities ,representatives of foreign consulates. Mr.Dara Jalil Khayat gave a statement said ""Dear ladies and Gentlemen ,we are delighted participating in a handover ceremony of the second agenda of business in Kurdistan Region to the representative of KRG, the agenda is the fruit of efforts done by an experienced staff in the field of economy .after reviewing the first agenda which has been prepared 5 years ago ,and after doing a number of meetings and seminars, fortunately now the agenda to be handed over to Kurdistan Regional Government representative., to be a foundation for economic development in Kurdistan Region. We are as a relevant institution ,we have done our researches for the economic situation in Kurdistan, according to these researches ,a number of the addressed problems in the first Agenda have been solved ,and many of new problems have been headed out ,the agenda talked about them in a scientific way ,and put suitable solutions ,we are expecting from the Kurdistan Regional Government to issue recommendations to solve them ,the Government encouragement for us ,as traders and private sector is very important to develop economic sector in Kurdistan ,actually KRG has a clear message regarding the execution of free market standards ,the 7th Cabinet of KRG ,,asserted that even at the outset of its establishment. A number of high level committee have been established to work to the development of the economic sector in Kurdistan ,specially agriculture ,industry and tourism. ,this led to issuing of a number of new instruction and recommendation ,for ministries and relevant institutions, we need more plan and law to get rid of social central system and reach free market system .unfortunately there are some ministries and institutions implementing social system law ,this have reflected also in the behavior of some official ,we hope a special committee to be established to implement this agenda and solve these problems ,thank you for (KISSC).,and (CIPE) and the preparatory committee of the agenda ,we appreciate your efforts.

Dr.Ali Sindi the representative of Kurdistan Prime minister in the ceremony gave a speech talked about the history of public and private economic sector and there development after the establishment of Kurdistan Parliament and government in 1992, Said "The private sector taken it is own path ,and reached this current level " The private sector could solve many problems in the Region ,for example Electricity." He added. He indicated that the investment ,law now going under amendment ,hence we are focusing very much on Agriculture and industry projects in the Region." Mr.Sindi promised that the government will take the recommendations in the agenda as very important ,and made them as it s long term plans. Mr.Nawzad Hadi the governor of Erbil gave thanks to those participated in the preparation of the agenda, he said "it is the fruit of many meetings and seminars. onThn the economic situations and obstacles ,were existed previously ,now the situation in the Region has changed ,and the individual income and the value of investment have increased, KRG s policies have led to a suitable atmosphere for foreign investment ."Then Mr.Khayat gave a speech he indicated to the first agenda ,which was prepared before 5 years and he said " Fortunately now we are having the second agenda ,we Expecting from the KRG to issue recommendations to solve the addressed problems ,.the incitement by the government is very important for us as traders ,we a touching this incitement from the 7th Cabinet of KRG ." Mr.Muhamad Alaadin the director of CIPE office in Iraq gave SPEECH ,AND THE Agenda offered to the representatives of the government ,which is A book in Kurdish ,Arabic and English addressing the obstacles facing economic development in Kurdistan in different areas .   

Erbil-On 18/10/2012 ,in the presence of Mr.Sinan Chalabi The Minister of Trade and Industry of KRG ,Mr.Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry ,Shekh Sultan bn Ahmed the representative of Al Sharjeh ,,Mr.Muhamad Ahmed the Head od AlSharjeh Emitare Chamber of Commerce. A memorandum of Understanding was signed between Erbil and Al Sharjeh Chambers. Mr Dara Khayat gave a speech in the ceremony and said" This Memorandum is the expansion of the already existed memo,." Added" According to the new one two business centers will be established in Erbil and Al Sharjeh ,to give facilities to Kurdistan and Emirate businessmen."   

Bilateral meetings between representatives of the Erbil:On 17.10.2012 and in the presence of Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Erbil has been holding meetings and bilateral meetings between representatives of the companies in the Kurdistan Region and their counterparts from the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates in the meeting hall at the headquarters of the Chamber. At the beginning of the meeting Mr. President of the Chamber welcomed representatives of attended companies, and touched on the important visit by of Emirati Sharjah - trade and media delegation , and thir participation also in Erbil Eighth International Fair, ,added: "The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry of and its counterpart of the Emirate of Sharjah is very important, and we hope the Kurdistan companies and the UAE, both to take advantage of this opportunity at this meeting because of its benefit to both peoples. " Mr. Khayat spoke to representatives of UAE companies on the existing opportunities in the Kurdistan Region and added: "There are in Kurdistan business opportunities, , you should try to exploit this opportunity to build bilateral relations with Kurdish companies." The participated companies in the meeting from the emirate of Sharjah, which was organized by the Chamber was about the 50 people who arrived in the Region on 10/14/2012 within the high level government and commercial delegation, which participated on 10/15/2012 at Erbil International Fair VIII.
