Erbil:On 21/04/2013 Erbil  Chamber of Commerce and Industry at  the cultural and social center of the Chamber held an Business Forum  with businessmen from the Greek Region  of Macedonia attended by Mr. Soran Bakr Aziz, Deputy president  of the Chamber and a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber ,Kurdistan  businessmen and from  Macedonian delegation side which was  representing forty of businessmen and government officials headed by Mr. Georgiou Kidxa regional president of Greek region of  Macedonia,  The guest delegation was welcomed by the Vice-President of the Chamber and wished them a pleasant stay, also pointed to the security situation and economic system in the region and  business opportunity increase, especially in the field of investment, prompting many foreign companies to come to the region  to get the opportunity from those  investment opportunities which are at hand ,and wished  the Greek side  role  to be active ,in the development process that existing in the region in the future as to promote relations and trade cooperation between the two countries, and wished from Greece to open air route between Athens and the region. From the Macedonian side Mr. President of the delegation expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception and wished the success to  Chamber of Commerce in order to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples, has expressed readiness of the Macedonian companies in Kurdistan to enter the market and contribute to the building of the Region  in the future, especially after the Greece will  receipt presidency of the European Union.

Erbil: on 16.04.2013 the second Economic Forum, between Kurdistan region and the United Arab Emirates  was opened in Erbil.in the presence of officials from KRG  and the United Arab Emirates ,a number of journalists and more than two hundred of businessmen from both sides, Among those  officials was Mr. Osman Shwani  supervisor of the Economic Council in the Council of Ministers of Kurdistan Regional Government, which He said the robust economic situation for the region and stability of the security two primary factors in the rush of foreign companies to operate in the region, which hitherto numbered more than two thousand companies also stressed in his speech that the coordination and cooperation between companies of Kurdistan and the UAE s lead Kurdistan to construction and development, which flows for the benefit of UAE companies at the same time.

As Mr. Abdullah Saleh, Vice-Minister of Foreign Trade of  UAE said  that the UAE's economic and commercial relations firm with the Kurdistan region and we will work to make it a portal business for UAE companies to increase the volume of bilateral trade, which reached last year to six billion dollars, and said that the UAE companies operating in the region in the field of industry, agriculture, tourism, construction, oil and gas, transportation and aviation, where we aspire to support the Regional Government to serve the economies of the two sides.

In the speech of Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat President  of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of of Kurdistan, region President of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry where he said that holding of this forum is a quantum leap towards strengthening economic and trade relations between the Region  and the UAE we have got knowledge  in the past through visits to the emirates of Dubai and Sharjah  as breaking barriers for the advancement of this strong relations.

Erbil: On 16.04.2013 Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat president of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry  at  his office  has received Mr. Martin Healy U.S. economic attaché  inErbil, who visited the Chamber in order to discuss preparations about  US trade delegation to visit Kurdistan and the other trade delegation visit from Kurdistan to  the United States, Mr. President of the Chamber has pointed out, to the importance of developing economic and trade relations between the Region  and the United States with the importance of the entry of the U.S goods. with a reputable international standards  to the market of Kurdistan, as Mr. U.S. economic attaché offered gratitude and appreciation to Mr. President of the Chamber for the warm reception and stressed the importance of exchange of visits by trade delegations between the two sides, also pointed out that the Kurdistan trade delegation will meet with a large number of Americans businessmen and traders in order to discuss ways for future commercial cooperation between businessmen of the two countries.
