The  President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry  called on Qatari companies to enter the Kurdish market and take advantage of the business opportunities available in it, confirming the presence of a wide ground for business investment in the Kurdistan Region.

This came during a meeting held between  Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat and a delegation from the Qatari companies  Alqabidha ,Petroleum and Hospital  Thursday,on 6/12/2012 included  Faisal bin Saud Al Thani, Director-General of the Qatar Alqabidha and Talal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, head of foreign relations at Qatar Petroleum International and Nawaf Ali Ubaydli director of operations in the Hospital  and the accompanying delegation.
Mr. Khayat said  Kurdistan –Qatar relations are in progress, especially after the visit of the President of the Kurdistan Region Massoud Barzani to the Qatari capital Doha, head of the Chamber reviewed stages of the development of economic activity in the region noting that security and stability in the Region are encouraging investment, said Mr. Khayat to the oil sector in the region, stressing that this sector in the beginning and has  important phases.
Regarding the agricultural sector noted Mr. Khayat the  existing of agricultural fertile land and underground water, explaining that if the farmland  do invested  the region would  able to secure food for 45 million people, so we assure you there is fertile ground to invest here in various fields in addition to the security and stability and the existence of the law encouraging investment These factors push foreign companies to invest in various sectors in the Region.
And the President of the Chamber called on of Gulf companies and specially   Qatar to enter the Kurdistan market and take advantage of the business opportunities available in various sectors, declaring readiness of the Chamber to provide support and assistance to international companies.
For his part, Mr. Faisal Bin Saud Al Thani thanked the warm reception and said: "We would like to see closely the  economic conditions and Kurdistan market " declaring that the Gulf states are  considering the Kurdistan Region as a friend as that we have common points in the  culture of the peoples At the end of the meeting Chamber provided gifts of appreciation to the guest delegation
