Erbil: On 02.07.2015 , Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat President of the Erbil  Chamber of Commerce and Industry received in  his office on Thursday,  Ambassador Yorgo Fokus Croatia's ambassador to Iraq and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Ambassador Fokus pointed out that every time you visit the Kurdistan Region you are observing  a remarkable development, praising the high level of tranquility  and stability witnessed by the Kurdistan Region. He expressed his country's desire to open a consulate in the region and the intention to  consolidate economic and trade relations with Kurdistan, and to provide facilities for traders to get a visa to travel to Croatia.

For his part, Mr. President of the Chamber expressed his thanks and appreciation for the his excellency Croatian Ambassador to Iraq, calling at the same  time Croatian ambassador to Iraq to encourage the Croatian investors to invest in the region and contribute to its reconstruction, and reaffirmed the interest of  the Chamber  to corporate with the Croatian Chambers of Commerce and, referring  to exchange of visits between the two sides  in previous years. Mr. Dara Jalil Khayat  expressed the  readiness of the Chamber to support and assist companies wishing to work in  Kurdistan.
